Please note - we are currently on vacation / traveling, and will be very slow to reply until June 1st. Thank you for your patience and understanding!
Well! I guess it had to happen sometime! I'll be travelling March 23-30th, and so - will be slower to respond to customer requests at that time. Please bear with us, and remember - we value your business.
Thanks so much!
We'll, it had to happen sometime. We've switched email providers in an effort to improve our service. If you are having any problems reaching us, try our contact us form, because it's also logged outside of email.
We'll I suppose with "all great plans", there can be a hitch.
As it turns out, during our transition to the new website we failed to update the hosting records for email. As a result, we've suffered an email outage. The contact us / quotation system records are all still in tact. We expect to be back operating with email shortly.
I'd like to extend our sincerest appologies and will be in touch with everyone that's had a recent quotation that may have been trying to get in touch over email.
All the best,
For three years, Ancient Translations was driven by ZenCart, which is a great technology for e-commerce shopping carts, but doesn't match the translation business that well.
We are please to introduce what's really "Ancient Translations 2.0". This is an entire website upgrade, and we've worked hard to help you find what you are looking for. We'd love to hear from you, so please feel free to contact us and let us know what you think.
And this is only the beginning. We are likely going to upgrade again soon (aha!), with an e-commerce solution of our own design. In the mean time, we hope you enjoy this new web experience.
Well that was an adventure!
Directly on our date of departure, our hosting provider had a delay with their control panel. Normally, this would never be a problem.... except when you are in the middle of a site launch!
I'm delighted to say, that despite the technical mishap.. that we are now on-line. The dream has come from beginning to end.
Welcome to Ancient Translations.
Oddly enough, when I announced to our translation team that we were going live on December 1st, I had decided to omit the resource pages on the Ancient Egyptian language. I then proceeded, as if driven on... to write every single page of the resources section.
Why? Well, frankly... I want to expose some of the passion of this language. I hope, that when people see the symbols.. and realize how vibrant it is. How a lust for life, can come across thousands of ears.... and ring as true today.
I would dare say that the pages wrote themselves... but my keyboard would scream of its' mistreatment as I "banged it out". Dear web traveler, enjoy these pages. Be sure to see the collection of Ancient Symbols that a Tattoo artist may have interest in. Our name pages, are also fantastic - as it shows a scholastically accurate method to translating your name.
So the deadline has been set. I have announced to our network of translators that we will go live. Officially opening our doors on December 1st, 2010.
There are hundreds of details that need to be checked. Re-checked. Trippe checked. A to-do list that feels like a mile long. All in an effort to bring to life a one of a kind product, with exploratory service. We are working very hard to make this dream, a reality.
Customers, please let us know how were are doing. Use the contact us page to drop us a line.
